MY BODY, MY VESSEL
(2025) Sterling silver
In this piece, I use the urn as an abstraction of the body. I was thinking further about how much of a burden our physical forms can be and how they can negatively impact our lives, yet how, without them, we could not exist. Our bodies hold many things: pain, love, our brain, our organs- we are vessels. The body completes the form of the urn, featuring a double ring design that holds the wearer inside. The piece acts as a functional container with a removable lid.
